VIDEO -- Ben Cameron on Arts Innovation
In preparing a presentation for leaders advancing the work of Brooklyn's most vibrant cultural institutions, I spent some time reviewing footage I have shot with donors and grantmakers speaking on the topic of innovation. My favorite comes from Ben Cameron of the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation who cites cultural organizations, like Steppenwolf Theatre, which are creating springboards for their audiences' creativity.
It's such a radical notion but one very much in line with the "wisdom of crowds" being unleashed by the Internet. Don't miss what Ben had to say from a meeting of arts donors convened by the Association of Small Foundations.
