Media By/For Youth and Adults Who Care
If you want to gain insight about what teens are really thinking, and thus how your giving can support them in an increasingly complex and seemingly hostile world, Youth Communications should be tabbed as a favorite in your browser bar. This nationwide network of youth-produced media outlets (I ran the Chicago Center for six years) creates top-quality content by and for teens and those of us smart enough to listen.
In particular, I would point you to the New York Center whose robust website includes Represent, content by and for teens living in foster care as well as New Youth Connections, a newspaper with a circulation of 200,000 distributed through NYC public and private schools.
