Giving Circles
In the upcoming web video episode of "Dialogue for Donors" to be posted on Friday, Association of Small Foundations' (ASF) chief, Tim Walter, speaks to the value donors can find when they engage with their peers. In addition to ASF, community foundations nationwide provide opportunities for donors to explore and pursue common philanthropic interests.
For do-it-yourselfers, giving circles have become a popular way for donors to connect. The Giving Circle Knowledge Center, from the Forum of Regional Association of Grantmakers, includes new research on the growth and impact of giving circles as well as resources for hosting and managing circles. The site also includes profiles of small, medium and large circles throughout the country and invites visitors to share their experience. (We'd love to hear it too!)
