Couples Philanthropy Retreat, with Steve Treat

couples.jpg Most people don’t have a peers to whom they can talk about their charitable giving. I have also found that there is little in the way of structured support for couples who wish to give better together. For those looking for peer-to-peer conversations, the Association of Small Foundations (ASF) is holding its first Couples Philanthropy Retreat October 25-26, 2007 in Charleston, SC.

The Couples Philanthropy Retreat will bring together philanthropic couples from across the country to an intimate and relaxing setting. Away from everyday distractions, attendees will devote time to thinking about who they are as a family and what they want to achieve through their giving. As facilitator Dr. Stephen Treat says, “Creating a legacy doesn’t happen by mistake.” Families intentional about process, committed to strong and open communication, and clear on expectations are on their way to creating a legacy that will deepen and grow through the generations. Please join us in Charleston for this worthwhile program.
