What’s neXt?

In every organization of any size, there is a hierarchy. Those at the top have access to networking opportunities that avail them to knowledge sources, contacts and referral sources. Yet, some of our greatest assets lie in the highly trained, energetic and creative minds of our younger co-workers.

In Richmond, The Community Foundation created what has become a vibrant networking group of these individuals called “neXt.” The group consists of young men and women who work with people of wealth – lawyers, financial planners and two of the younger members of The Community Foundation’s staff. At their regular meetings, the participants take turn presenting. They learn, network and build trust among each other.

As a result, valuable relationships are being established at a younger age than in generations past. We think that these individuals, the organizations that employ them and our community will be the beneficiaries.
