Tim Walter
Tim Walter is CEO of the Association of Small Foundations. He joined ASF in May 2001 as its first Chief Operating Officer. Immediately prior to ASF he worked as the head of an economic development finance organization, Community First, Inc., in Washington, D.C. He has had a diverse career including eight years at the Aspen Institute as Director of the Rural Telecommunications Initiative, as a manager in mergers and acquisitions for a Japanese trading company, and founder of an immigrant advocacy organization south of Miami, Florida. Tim holds a B.A. from Duke University and an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management. Tim is married and lives with his wife, Kristin, in Virginia.
